KCIC Christmas Ordering Deadlines

Order Processing and Shipping Schedule

In stock shipments from Pittsburgh: all KCIC Ornaments and Family Life Products/ allow 1-3 days for processing and 7-10 days for delivery unless you complete a payment for expedited shipping.

Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii Puerto Rico, and Guam or US Territory:  The bulk of shipping to these states / territories is done by United States Postal Service. Please allow 3 days for processing and 14-21 days for Priority Mail receipt - especially to remote locations in Alaska, Puerto Rico or Hawaii. Expedited shipping is available and recommended for orders placed five days or less before a holiday.

  • Hawaii and Alaska: Select UPS Ground or expedited or USPS Priority Mail to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico and Guam or US Territory.

  • Insurance and a signature will be required when the ship to address and bill to address are different.

    Please use your street address. We cannot ship to a post office box.

Military Destinations: All shipments to our brave men and women serving overseas in the military must go by the United States Post Office.

EASTER DEADLINE: Last day to order in-stock merchandise for guaranteed USA delivery before Easter

Easter Holiday Schedule: Closed Good Friday

  • US Postal:
    • Domestic Priority Mail: March 26
    • Domestic Express Mail: March 29
  • UPS:
    • Ground Service: March 26 Central/East US; March 24 Mountain/West
    • Expedited: March 29 - 3 day select, 2nd day, Next day
    • A signature is required whenever the "ship to" and "bill to" addresses are different. 
  • International
    • You are responsible for all tariffs, taxes and fees charged by your country.
    • Global International Express Mail: March 16
    • Parcel post: March 1st (allow 6-12 weeks)
    • UPS, DHL, FedEx International shipping is available if you use your own carrier account.
    •   Insurance and a signature is required on all international shipments.
CHRISTMAS DEADLINE: Last day to order in-stock merchandise for guaranteed USA delivery before Christmas:  Christmas Holiday Schedule: We will be closed for all but emergencies after 5 pm close of business December 19th until January 22. During that time, orders placed on our website for in stock items will be processed and e-mails will be answered. But, the phone will not be manned. Please use our contact form for further assistance.

December 5 - Last day to place a Retail special order for Custom nameplates, VIP or Corporate Gifts under 100 ornaments for guaranteed delivery before Christmas. Large orders (50 ornaments or more) placed hereafter are subject to available stock and may incur additional charges for expedited handling and shipping.

December 16 - Last day to place an order for delivery before Christmas by regular USPS mail or UPS.

December 19 - January 20 — KCIC will be closed for Christmas through the New Year. E-mail and voice mail is checked at least twice a day except Christmas eve, Christmas day and New Years eve and New Years day. If you have an emergency, please use our contact form for a reply.

December 25 - Christmas Day. Merry Christmas! :-)

    • Domestic Express Mail: December 17. 
    • Domestic Priority Mail: December 15
    • Parcel Post: December 10.
    • First Class mail: December 15
    • Insurance and a signature may be required.
  • UPS:
    • Ground Service: December 17 10:00 am
    • 3 Day Service (UPS only): December 18 before 10:00 am e.s.t.
    • 2 Day Service: December 19 before 10:00 am e.s.t. 
    • Next Day Service: December 19 before 10:00 am e.s.t.
    • A signature is required whenever the "ship to" and "bill to" addresses are different. 
  • International
    • You are responsible for all tariffs, taxes and fees charged by your country.
    • Global Express Mail: December 14 before 10:00 am e.s.t.
    • Global Priority Mail: December 7
    • Global Express Mail Guaranteed: December 16 before 10:00 am e.s.t.
    • Global International Parcel Post: October 10 (for Australia/Virgin Islands etc.).
    •  DHL, FedEx International shipping is available if you use your own carrier account.
    • Insurance and a signature is required on all international shipments.
  • Carrier Web Sites

None of the carriers that we use (UPS, USPS, DHL or FedEx) will guarantee Christmas delivery on any order shipped by the above methods after the above dates. If you are ordering after 12/15, we strongly recommend expedited shipping for guaranteed delivery before Christmas.
